In the vein of Simple Minds and early U2, The Lonely Now cranks out eight hi-energy, "New Music," dance tunes. Drums and bass provide a strong, danceable foundation for the band, while minimalistic, musical impressions are painted by guitar and violin (yes, that's right, violin!). A breath of fresh air, Original Intentions is a pretty good sounding record.
