When I popped this album into my stereo I was in a good mood, the weather was great outside, and I expected this album to be just as great; I had high expectations for it. Well, after listening to it, I can't believe I am still awake to write this. I don't mind slow mellow music, there's nothing wrong with it at all, unless if it's not done well! At first I was expecting something along the lines of Pedro The Lion, but this wasn't even close. This album was bland, and unimaginative, with little or no creativity in my mind. Most of the songs sound the same, and the tempo was constant throughout the entire album, with no change at all. Change, even if it is subtle, is needed on an album. If Joe Christmas ever wrote a bad album (not like that would have ever happened), this is what it would have sounded like. I am sure they could have done much better than this, and I will be waiting for their next album hoping to see improvement from this one.
