Praise the Lord! The hype was right, this band is ultra heavy and rips big-time! Produced by Roger Martinez, this project has hardcore, intricate thrash music; and hardcore lyrics with scripture references printed amidst the songs. Guy Ritter, who fronted Holy Danger way back when, frequently flies into his high-pitched wailing a la King Diamond. The band, which on this recording consists of Guy Ritter, Ted Kirkpatrick, and Gary Lenaire, shreds! The lyrics twist the serpent and tear down strongholds (thought patterns, "lofty speculations") with swift, scriptural accuracy. "To confessing Christians/ that live in sin/ To the religious/ living by the law/ Those who heard the Gospel/ and turned away/ Lazy people who wouldn't wake up their minds/ Your life is in danger - Holy Danger!" - "The Threshing Floor". "Do you really think that God grades on a curve/ when all of the answers are found in the Word...A man can't stumble/ when he's on his knees/ So let us pray!" - "You Get What You Pray For". "Ark of Suffering" deals a neccesary blow to the thinking that animals can be mistreated with no retribution from God. This will be one of the hottest albums of the summer. The music kills, the vocals are happenin', the production is crunchin' and super keen, and the cover art is top-notch.

Dead Zine 2002Reviewed by NecRoSarXTourniquet's debut album from 1990 ranks in my humble opinion as a thrash metal classic. Fast, blistering, tight metal with intelligent lyrics and heavy classical influences. The CD introduced the classically trained duo of Gary Lenaire and Ted Kirkpatrick on guitars and drums, respectively, and vocalist Guy Ritter, whose astonishing vocal range puts King Diamond to shame. Stop the Bleeding may…
Dead Zine 2002Reviewed by sesspoolwow... the album that started it all... i heard this about the time psycho surgery came out... i loved it so much. this cd is so full of good riffs, chugs and solos that you can't help but be amazed. some of the best guitar work in an album that i've ever heard. compared to psycho surgery, i feel that there are more good songs on this cd per capita. this cd is awesome. buy it. buy it now. the cd…
Dead Zine 2002Reviewed by undeadWith Microscopic View recently being released, I decided that reviewing the early thrash albums of these pioneers was a good idea. For those of you who will become fans because of the new album, this should provide you with the knowledge to get the awesome old albums. Pathogenic and Psycho will soon follow. This album is one of my favorite albums of all-time. It happens to be one of those rare…
HM Magazine #92Reviewed by Doug Van PeltYou've got to rejoice in the justice of it all when a band redeems the rights to their back catalog. Then, when it gets re-released with new packaging and bonus tracks, you can really get excited. As in the case of Tourniquet, who have re-released their classic first three albums on their own (Stop The Bleeding, Psychosurgery, and Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance), and they didn't skimp on the…
Adonai Metal Rock #4Reviewed by Sylvie “Riffy”Translated from the original French Here are some clever little devils who would do well to be properly insured, because their first album may well do BIG damage!! Watch out for broken glass, because these head-breakers are perfectly capable of making themselves guilty of the offence of speeding!! In such a case, no panic!! The victim of the shot caused by the flashing light of the duty…Similar sounding releases
