Ah, that's more like it! Trevor Morgan's main claim to fame is playing bass for Ginny Owens. But scratch beneath the surface, and you'd discover that Morgan contributed significantly to Owsley's fine eponymous debut album in the shape of co-writing the propulsive anthem "I'm Alright." Great credentials, if you can get it! From the moment that "Upside Down" smacks you on the head with its heartfelt plea and dynamism, Morgan reels you in with his astute way with a song--not to mention his straightforward personal message.
From then on, it's a heady trip--the ponderous title track, the declaratory "Bring On The Peace," the cracking "Skin And Bones," the ethereal "Oh Hallelujah," and the poignant "Better Than Life," to name but a few. Always inspiring to witness an artist being true to his faith and muse at the same time, Trevor Morgan's Wonderlight is a keeper.
