I have always enjoyed singing funny songs. Perhaps that comes from my days at Boy Scout camp, where I first started singing about wearing "My Pink Pajamas" (don't ask-just suffice it to say that my wife has gotten over it, although I suspect my mother never will). Here I am, many years later, and along comes All Time Favorites - Funny Songs. This project is full of fun songs that everyone in the family will enjoy singing, and if your family is anything like mine-they will all join in. After all, nobody wants to be left out of the fun when it's there for the taking.

The arrangements use a variety of instrumentation and the soft, angelic voices of the children's choir are a pleasure to listen to, but just try to resist the temptation to join in while they sing your favorite songs. I found a number of my favorites, including "I Just Wanna Be A Sheep," "Ho-Ho-Ho-Hosanna," "Father Abraham," "Dry Bones," and "Give Me Oil In My Lamp." Of course, the list wouldn't be complete without my all time favorite, "Happy All The Time."

I'm in-right, out-right, up-right, down-right happy all the time I'm in-right, out-right, up-right, down-right happy all the time When Jesus Christ came in and cleansed my heart from sin I'm in-right, out-right, up-right, down-right happy all the time

I especially love to sing this one using motions, while singing it faster and faster-until eventually falling in an exhausted pile with the children. Try it; you'll see how much fun it can really be.

Funny Songs is one of three in a collection of All Time Favorites. The other two in the series are All Time Favorites - Kids' Hymns, and All Time Favorites - Preschool Tunes. All three offer a pleasant selection of songs for younger children and would make a great addition to any child's musical collection of favorites.

So, come along and join in the fun. "And if the devil doesn't like it, he can sit on a tack!"
