The Ballistic Test series is a short run of tapes produced by industrial label Flaming Fish Music, and every so often they pump out a new edition containing anywhere from 5 to 8 bands/songs that give you a taste of what is to come. These compilation tapes are always well produced and always a cheap way to check out what you are going to be interested in for the future.
Ballistic Test Three is actually the 4th in the series and delivers 7 songs by:
Lotus:07
Millennia
Voxis:Machina
Tempestuous All
Assembly Line
Human Knot Farm
Worldhate
The outstanding song on this tape is certainly Youandme by Tempestuous All, which I just can listen to over and over. There are about 3 other songs that I say I enjoy, but about half I'll probably not look into down the road.
Still that's what a good compilation is about. Giving you an idea of what lies ahead. For four bucks you can not go wrong with any of the Ballistic Test series, and three is a great tape well worth it.
7/10
