This soundtrack is devoted to the still yet to be released Extreme Days feature film, and features an original title-track by Toby McKeehan of dcTalk, as well as songs by Jamie Rowe, P.O.D., Fanmail, Pax 217, .rod laver, Bleach, John Reuben, East West, Fold Zan, etc. Toby and Jamie both mix rap and rock, and surprisingly Jamie's approach seems the least contrived of the two. Michael Tait's (dcTalk) power pop "Loss 4 Words" at least stays true to his muse and abilities, and grooves in a dcTalk meets Smashmouth way. The standout track has got to be from Klaus Badelt. Called "Downhill Games," it takes the might of the Star Wars and Mission Impossible themes and synthesizes them into a speed sport anthem - with a few lapses of rock-classical corn, kind of like in Mr. Holland's Opus.
