Norway is the centre for satan worshipping metal, but here are 4 bands that have risen from the ashes of black metal to worship one more worthy of praise, GOD. Shaliach is melodic and grooves in places but their vocals pack a mean punch. There are only 2 members in the band; one does all the music and one vocals. One question: how do they play live? GROMS is brutally heavy and very technical in terms of their guitar stylings. The vox are as hard as the music. Also lots of double bass. The darkest sounding band is my favorite: Anistor. Very atmospheric, incorporating everything from organs to flutes to create a metal masterpiece. The final band is Extol. Great use of piano as well as double bass for a unique sound. Good range on the vocals too.
