The CD came with an article from the Phoenix New Times with the headline--"Never Mind the Blasphemy--Valley Hard-Core Kids Mosh for the Lord." The article goes on to discuss the Phoenix Christian scene and The Rage youth festival that takes place every summer in Phoenix. While this is only the second compilation released, the fest has been around--this was the sixth year. Hopefully, both will continue in the future. And if moshing is your thing, trust me you'll have no trouble finding music to mosh to here. There is a lot of good well produced music here--everything from ska to dance to modern rock. This is a respectable sample of the music available in the Christian market today and it will give you a nice slice of the Arizona scene. A few of the bands are familiar like Fine China, Speck, The Corbans, and Michelangelo and the Difference--some you will have never heard of. Some you are sure to want to hear more of. Incidentally, two of last year’s bands were signed to KMG and several had cuts on other compilations. Sure, like most compilations, you'll love some of the cuts and hate others but that's what makes comps fun. Here there is a little for everyone. Do your part to support the Arizona scene and The Rage--pick up your copy today.
