World Wide Message Tribe is on fire for our Lord, and their sound is hot and happening. Jumping In The House Of God combines so many popular sounds of today it's just awesome. Summarize it in one word? TechnoDanceRavePraise. (Okay, so I made that up-but it does the job. Just remember you heard it here first.)
The future in praise and worship music is here-now! So get up out of your seats, get your arms in the air, and dance to the beat of a new sound bringing glory and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ. I'm sure there will be the "Doubting Thomas" or two, but they have always been around. Songs of worship like "Hear My Prayer" and "Jesus, Name Above All Names" are coming at us with a fresh new sound while maintaining the reverence indigenous to the genre. Praise songs? I would suggest you check out "Hosanna" and "Kik-Start" to get you started.
The amount of generated energy experienced in the music of World Wide Message Tribe is almost indescribable. For me, it expresses my exhilarated feelings when I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior-being filled with the Holy Spirit, and anxious to start serving. (Wow-what a high!) When I read in my Bible, "There will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents ..." (Luke 15:7), I picture the angels "Jumping In The House Of God." Now, time for confessions-I'm addicted. My first sign of addiction, was when I realized that I had played Jumping In The House Of God so much that my fellow employees were singing along with me to "The Real Thing" when I cranked up the CD player. Through this example in my own life, I can see why World Wide Message Tribe has been so effective with their ministry in the schools of Manchester, England. Every year this group works one entire week in each of the schools in Manchester, devoting 35 weeks every year to their outreach ministry. Their ministry has already seen over three thousand youths commit their lives to Jesus Christ, included in that number is Cameron Dante who is the rapper in "The Real Thing"-saved at a service in September 1995. Prior to that Cameron was the number one club DJ in Manchester, now he does a Christian radio show when he's not traveling with the group.
I love the sound of World Wide Message Tribe and can't wait to try out one of their songs in my Sunday School Worship...
