Antestor
Despair

If you can, try to mix the haunting sounds of early Black Sabbath with the death metal vocals of today, and you'll come up with Antestor. I'm not too big on this current style of vocals, but I have to admit, I really liked this band from Norway. The music kept it interesting. No thrash here! Just lots of eerie music with gothic-like keyboards and what sounds like three different people singing at different times. My favorite tune was "Jesus, Jesus Ver Du Hja Meg," the only one not sung in English. It sounds very close to Ozzy's "Mr. Crowley." It almost sounded like Randy Rhoads himself was playing the guitar lead. This would be a band I'd love to hear after they've spent some serious time in a studio.
