Biblical Graffiti
Reviewed by Doug Van Pelt
These musical clowns are at it again, this time packaging their latest offering up like Pink Floyd's The Wall, artfully using the Zeppelin title Physical Graffiti, and incorporating Michaelangelo's "Hand of God" finger carving out the words "Mene mene tekel parsin" (which God wrote on the wall in Daniel 5:25). It's called Biblical Graffiti, and the entire project is well thought out and humorous. They tackle classic rock mostly, like The Beatles, Zeppelin, The Stones, and include a band that can almost be considered classic rock now - Metallica (gasp!). There's parodies of songs by The Police, Fastball, and Matchbox 20 as well. Much like Weird Al, you'll either love 'em or hate 'em. If you don't take 'em too seriously (which I'm sure they don't do themselves), then they're a real treat. See why again on this issue's Hard Music Sampler.
