"I should have been your hero . . . because that's what daddy's are." This line clinched it for me. What an emotional bomb! Wow! Let me back up here. This concept album, called The Choice, was put together by Chris Jackman and features several prominent CCM artists (like Sixpence's Matt Slocum, Plumb's Thad Beatty). It's a concept album that is a personal testimony of Chris, who had an abortion and experienced the post-abortion trauma and then the healing of Jesus. As the special guests would make you guess, musically most of this is CCM radiofare. Due to this, I was bummed about not being able to review this worthy project, but the song "I Should Have Been Your Hero" has enough cool guitars and groove to warrant a listen by the hard music enthusiast.
