Apostasy

This band desperately needs to find a good studio. Through the weak production of this tape I can hear quite a bit of talent out of these guys from Pueblo, Colorado -- though that talent is most noticeable when they are not thrashing. There are industrial influences, which are evident in the tape's opener, "Eve of Divinity." Due to its recording, however, it sounds like little more than noise. "Destroyer" is a smokin' tune asking people to accept Christ before it's too late.
This is a good band that deserves a chance. With better production, Apostasy could be a force to reckon with. The only musical downer is Paul Daugherty's vocals, which sound like he is gagging on something stuck in his throat. Improved vocals are a must!
