Let me start off by saying that these guys have been around for somewhat of a long time, but never got too much recognition. I for one think that that is not fair. Every song I have heard from them have been creative and brutal. I just don't understand. On to the review...this CD is really good. The vocals, I believe have some effects to them, and if they don't, this guy isn't human. The vocals sound like a mix between Evergreen Terrace, and Dying Fetus. They are the higher hardcore vocals, but with this liquidy, throaty growl to it. It's really cool. The music is really heavy, and creative. There is a couple of downsides however. The drums are very well played, but not recorded with the same skill. I don't know the reason for this, but it's true. A lot of parts could be amazingly heavy if the bass drum(s) were recorded to be much deeper and resonating. They kinda just sound like a short thud. Also, there are too many parts where the music is heavy and stuff, then it goes slow, with maybe the bass and drums going, then heavy again, then slow..come to think of it, the whole cd is kinda like this. But overall, the musicianship is great, the vocals are great, and as far as I can tell, the lyrics are great too (I dont have an insert). With some exposure, these guys could be huge.

Dead Zine 2001Reviewed by sesspoolThe material on this cd is overall... good. The lyrics on this cd... well... we'll get into that later. The following is a light-hearted rant... from a reflective point of view... I apologize for nothing... and nothing is truly meant personal, it's all just what I see from the perspective of what is offered when the album is obtained.
