This three-song tape features some heavy thrash with plenty of distortion and crunch, but feature vocals of death--which some folks may or may not like--somewhere in between Kurt Bachman and Lemmy of Motorhead. The guitars have a way of stealing the show here, though. The rhythms are pretty tight and solid, and then the leads are pretty tasty wah-wah or ditty-ditty-ditty diversions. Many of the classic speed metal riffs are recycled here and, because they're done with a certain degree of competence, they're enjoyable. Overall, somewhat hefty thrash with some decent crunch, but lousy production. The songs are decent, with growling vocals. "Plagued" jumps out first, with some darn good riffs chuggin' along at a speed metal pace. "Prophet of Death" comes screaming next, with all-out heavy hooks that command some respect.
