Even though I'm not one to recommend an album that has guitars sounding like they were played through a little "gorilla" practice amp, I must say that the guitar riffs and songwriting on here will have me telling people to get this latest album by Mad At The World. There is a lot of heavy rocking on this album on such songs as "Alone," "Trapped," and yes, they do a guitar-dominated cover of their own song "Mad at the World," which was previously a sequence-heavy dance tune. Piano ballad "I've got a Heaven," with great vocal work and guitar ballad "Always be my Love" are done very tastefully. In a nutshell, alternative rockers and metalheads alike should give at least one listen to this all the way through--and you'll be glad you did.
