When I saw this demo for the first time, the very pro presentation of this recording led me to hope for a great deal from CRUCIBLE. Unfortunately, my expectations were disappointed, because CRUCIBLE is not the band I was hoping for... Admittedly, CRUCIBLE is far from being a bad band, but the sound quality of this demo leaves something to be desired: the keyboards are at times far too present, and the drummer seems to be banging on his grandma's saucepans... It is no fun... All the more so since among the 8 tracks of "Snatched From The Fire", many resemble one another... ("Delirious", yuck... "Can't Take It", "Snatched From The Fire",...) The lead guitarist does a very good job, but one expected more, given that he is a graduate (in 1983) of the "Guitar Institute Of Technology"... Let us say that CRUCIBLE's demo is boring. However, CRUCIBLE's female vocals save the day, because Sheree Robertson does an excellent job on almost every track, and raises the value of some of them such as "Roll Away The Stone", "Set Me Free", "Feeling Alright" and "Caught In A Web". To sum up: not bad, but not exciting...

Funny as it seems, this is the type of rock you might expect to hear in some of today's teenage movies. The guitarist and drummer cash in on some of the standard power hooks in the metal genre. This music passes all the tests: hot leads; upfront drums;…Similar sounding releases
