Yet another new WM band, this one out of Sweden! TRINITY offers us a first three-track demo. "Soldiers Of Freedom" is introduced by the keyboards, then turns to fury... Yes, fury, because TRINITY cannot under any circumstances be classed among the FM bands. Their heavy, though melodic, is powerful and fast. The keyboards do not feel like too much. The guitarist is fast in his rhythm work, and the riffs are very good. The vocals, even if they are good and well placed, lack aggression (this is probably the reason TRINITY has just replaced its vocalist). "Soldiers Of Freedom" contains three changes of rhythm, and demonstrates by this that TRINITY is rhythmically beefy. "Children Of The Light" is very good at the rhythmic level, but lacks originality in the chorus, which turns into a hackneyed refrain... The solo, on the other hand, is excellent and melodic. The keyboards, though very present, stay very discreet (Thank you!) "Far Away From You" is introduced on classical guitar. The track is more commercial than the two preceding ones, with a chorus that catches. "Jesus is the King in my life". TRINITY gives a clear, simple and plain message on the subject of the Gospel. Note that the sound of the demo is sometimes bad (except for "Soldiers Of Freedom"). A pity.
