Here is an indispensable demo for everyone interested in WM!! "Louder Than Hell" contains 3 studio tracks, and 4 live tracks, the whole thing produced by Leonard Haze (ex-Y&T). SOLDIER's music is melodic heavy. "Heart Of Stone" brings out thrash influences, but the track stays melodious. The guitarist Rick Hunter does excellent work, very fast. "Somebody New" and above all "Angel" are commercial tracks. On the live side, SOLDIER seems to be a pretty crazy band on stage: listening to "King Of The City", one imagines without difficulty a highly energetic show. "Glory And Honor" is more heavy, while "Priceless Heart" is cooler, without falling into syrupy ballads. Then we are entitled to Rick Hunter's solo, a solo which, despite the PA problems, remains very impressive. The solo runs straight into "Heart Of Stone", which does not differ much from the studio version. Remember the name of SOLDIER; we shall hear about them as soon as the band is signed, because California has already fallen for this new warrior of WM. In the meantime, throw yourselves at this demo "Louder Than Hell"!! The SOLDIER goes on the attack!!!
