Maybe you caught our interview with Julio Rey in Garlic #3 where he told us all about this CD, well now we have it beginning with a beautiful gtr ballad. Then you hit track 2: grindcore in the truest sense of the word. The best way to describe this song or album for that matter would be to somehow mix Disrupt with Slayer & Earth Crisis and occasionally throw in a little Minor Threat. As with FE's last album the musical genres vary from grind to punk and everything in between, but is far better in its execution of each respective genre [especially the grind]. Each song seems to blend flawlessly into the next which is really amazing all things considered. The vocals vary as much as the music going from high pitched screams to growls to plain old screaming. Sometimes he gets this higher total nasal voice, it's as if he snarls through his sinuses, quite intriguing. Gtrs are crunchy in the death/grind way with a lot of chugga chugga, power chords and solos. Don't worry the solos don't overpower the rest of the music a la Integrity circa Systems Overload. Lotz of double bass & breakneck machine gun speed snare action. A great release for all lovers of hard tunes, except kinda short clocking in at 36 min.

Secondly, the subject matter of many of the songs on this disc take issue with many things that are at odds with Christianity. Most noticeable is the song "Stephen Hawking Walked Away". The Phantom Tollbooth 1996Reviewed by Josh SpencerDon't buy this unless you have to have every Christian death metal album. Very fast, sloppy death metal with some hardcore vocals and slowed down doom metal thrown in on occasion. Below-average production (but much better than previous Frank's Enemy albums). 1.5 tocksSimilar sounding releases
