This 5 song tape was recorded at Alpha's new 16 track studio. Showing Dowell's musical versatility, it's meant to cultivate interest in 3 areas: 1) Christian 2) Country music & 3) Locally, as a blues rock band.
"You Repossessed My Heart" is a country swing number speaking of God's desire to take to Himself our heart, back into the relationship He meant for us to begin with.
"Cowboys"--with lyrics that say, "We just wanna be cowboys, living wild & free...", this is the ultimate cowboy song.
"Teresa" "is a sad country song with definite spiritual overtones". I really liked this one, lots of feeling.
"Wounded Knee" is the song here, & especially live, Jerry & the rest of the 7 Thunders Band really kick it in. Don't you just love slide guitar? This blues instrumental smokes.
