Speaking of non-metal artsy rock, Mad at the World is radical. Their second album finds them almost being a metal band. The electric guitar, turned all the way up here at times, was entirely absent from their previous effort. Check out cuts like: "Flowers in the Rain"; "Puppet Strings"; "Wait"; and "Dancing on Your Grave." Different stuff. I love it.
