I could swear I was hearing Larry Norman from the late 80s era when I popped in this Little Bean (1999) release for the first time. The band, featuring Dave Perkins (guitar), Chris Donohue (bass), Dale Baker (drums), and Nocholas Giaconia (vocals & guitars) fly strong where predecessors like Dylan, Mallonee, and Harrison staked their musical and lyrical claims. True grit rock without ignoring the big hooks are all accompanied by soulful piano, organ, or steel guitar at just the right times. If you want to swing and bite the head off of the Christian subculture's falsely constructed dogma, then this lil' gem of a band is for you, too. If you ever get a chance to see this outfit live, rest assured that these songs are pulled off with even more robust-ness than recorded here.
