I personally have had this CD for a little while now, and understand the 'Stryper Lite' comment above, and overall agree with NecRoSarX on his summation of their music. Still I wanted to post my own review, rating and thoughts on this album somewhat as a rebuttal. As you see I've given this CD a 7.5 rating. I feel it's a quite enjoyable CD indeed. As many of you know I am NO STRYPER fan at all (once again they wrote 2 songs worth listening to 'More Than a Man' which is a KILLER tune [I actually think someone else wrote that one for them] and 'To Hell With The Devil' which is tolerable [and I've heard some really good covers of that song]) so even though the approach of the music here is glam metal indeed, I don't think 'Stryper Lite' is quite accurate. Mainly the vocals are meatier than Michael Sweet's poppy 'girls are gonna love' approach that influenced so many other secular glam bands (Warrant for one!) but the rest is pretty much typical of glam metal. Without a doubt the best tracks are indeed 'Heavy Metal Thunder' and 'Master of the Metal' as stated above, but overall this is a great driving CD. Some of the lyrics are (as most glam) simply FUNNY, but always spirit filled and come from the right direction.
Stryper fans will certainly love this album, but if you're not a Stryper fan and dug say Rage of Angels because of that little extra meat, you may want to give this one a spin...if you can find it.

For all the older metal heads in my church who fondly remember this album with a wistful gleam of nostalgia in their eyes (or maybe it's a problem with the overhead lights), I have trouble holding in high esteem as I do, say, Stryper's To Hell With the Devil. Master of the Metal seems a bit too contrived, just the right riffs with just…Similar sounding releases
