Lancaster Pennsylvania's own Movies with Heroes present their best release to date. Five songs of poppy melodic rock with well written songs and catchy harmonics. This isn't one of those CD's where the songs all blend together and you're left hoping the end is right around the corner. The music is mature and laid back because instead of playing to the audience, the band plays from the heart and brings the listener to them. Along with the traditional guitars, bass and drums, the band backs up the overall sound with keyboards and even a French horn. "Screenplay" is a softer song that would be great to put on when you're hanging out in your room or dancing with your girlfriend. While Movies with Heroes have their own sound, for descriptive purposes they could be compared to new Sunny Day Real Estate and The Gloria Record. Hopefully they will find the label support that can help bring their sound to new ears.
