What a difference a little time and practice makes! When I reviewed this band in Issue #38, I wasn't really impressed. Well, color me surprised, because this tape rocks! The tape starts with a 58-second piece called Structured Dissonance, which sounds like the band has gone through the Deliverance "chugga chugga" school of metal. From there they sound like they are going after the Guardian/Def Leppard crowd. My two favorites are "Message" and "Louder Than Hell," and even "The Way It Should Be," a mellow tune which was also on their first demo. The only regret I find is that they are still using way too much keyboards. When used to enhance, it sounds great, but when it dominates over the guitars, it could easily turn off a lot of headbangers. In my opinion, this tape is heads and tails better than their last effort, and has put Nehemiah a step ahead in the metal underground.
