Here's a wonderful 13-song disc that shows off some of the best tunes from this blazing quartet. Culling tunes from all four albums, this line-up features a nicer "sit down and listen" consistency than did any of the albums themselves. It starts off with the rockin' "Temples On Fire," a good rocker that would make a good concert opener, and stays at a high energy level for five more cuts before slowing down for the beautiful "He Died" ballad from the debut album. The anthemic "Beyond The Mountain" picks up the pace in a strong, methodic approach that gets the heart going fast again for three more songs before slowing down again for the haunting "Sweet Memories" from "Obsessions." Two more barn-burners close the album--"Bound In Chains" and "Warriors" (acting as a good rally call for all their listeners to team up with God's angels and fight the good fight). This is a good representation of a very hot band, but there is one HUGE, glaring mistake here: Where is the band's all-time greatest track--"Holy, Holy, Holy?" To overlook this tune has to rank as an all-time goof.
