This bands seems like they have been around forever, actually they have. I always thought they were pretty good and I got into most of their releases, but this CD just blew me away. I was expecting another No Use For A Name record that was pretty good, but everything about this release I loved. This has to be one of the best, if not the best melodic/pop punk album so far this year. Sure we are only 3 months into the year 2000, but this one is definitely going to hold up against anything else Fat Wreck Chords, Lookout, Epitaph, or Tooth and Nail is going put out. This is the kind of music I can really get into, it has lots of energy, it's fun, it's melodic, the production's great, the guitar parts all fit together perfectly. Plus the lyrics aren't corny, and they actually have something to say. These guys are getting a little older, yet they can still relate to the kids, and unlike a lot of other punk bands, they don't try to be immature, corny, and dirty to get a good laugh. Instead they write the theme songs for the punk rock kids of today, anthems like "Pride", "I see you clinging, stereotyping just to feel comfort, just to belong desperate for meaning to make sense of your life. Let me try to make you understand you got it wrong." Don't waste your money on all the cheesy pop punk thats been coming out lately. Do yourself a favor and get a really great record, go buy this release by No Use For A Name. If you only like hardcore, emo, or indie rock then you would probably want to steer clear of this one. They even do a Christmas duet "Fairytale of New York" with Cinder Block from the band Tilt.
