Novella
One Big Sky

Novella means "story." And this band is powerfully and melodically re-telling the story of salvation, healing, and the second coming. Singer and guitarist Jonathan Pagano has a good, clean, high vocal sound, kind of Steve Perry-ish. Novella is currently a three-piece, but the spotlight is obviously on Pagano. A cool lyric from "I Need You": "Can you hear the voice/ voice of the Spirit call/ Will you heed the noise/ as thousands in praise fall." Many will remember Novella from their appearance on Pure Metal's "Axemen" compilation. That song, "Running Home", has been re-recorded, and sounds better than ever. If you are into the sounds of Journey, Idle Cure, and Whiteheart, then Novella is definitely for you. Good production. Good songwriting. Good stuff.
