When I saw this tape in the "to be reviewed" stack, I quickly snatched this one. Having loved their impressive debut, Selah, I knew I was in for a treat. I wasn't disappointed. There are two songs here, "Wolves of the Cloth" and "Apathy's Slumber." What else can I say about Oracle? They are an incredible band that deserves major label attention. I would say that both tunes are similar to Tourniquet's non-thrash material -- very complex and extremely brutal. When I made my staff picks for "best unsigned band," Oracle was second only to Precious Death. If the rest of this album is like these songs, then Oracle may be the band to watch for in 1994. To order, send $5 (plus $1 postage) to: 3006 Shamrock Dr, Greensboro NC 27408.
