Anyone who calls themselves a pillar of the Christian music industry is just puffing themselves up with pride. The Bible clearly states, "Let another praise you, and not your own mouth." So, even though these boys sing about my beloved Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego surviving the fiery furnace, I cannot recommend this disc with a good conscious. If someone of my stature were to declare this band as a "pillar in this industry," then we could all listen to this hip-hop hardness with a clean heart. But because these boys have jumped the gun with their own hype, we should call them "Snoopy," because they're in my doghouse. Now, being the fair old lady that I am, I performed a test and played this music for my grandson, Jesse, without telling him who it was. He sang along to the song "Echelon" with a big, peaceful smile on his face as he moonwalked across the room. Once he knew it was this so-called "Pillar," however, he bolted upright, snatched the disc from the stereo and sneered, "I don't care if they've won two Doves, you just don't call yourself a pillar!" Then he yanked the disc out and smashed it. Bless his heart.
