This band is too hot to handle! A group like Ratt couldn't afford to have Ransom open for them. You see, Ratt can't have the opening band blow 'em off the stage. I first heard this band on my Walkman as I was riding the bus to work. I was totally amazed. My mouth fell open and I wanted to scream! "Rock for the Rock" was that first song I heard. I stayed in a moment of astonishment and speechless joy all day. The lead guitar intro lifted me straight up. It sounds like it was put through chorus and wah-wah effect with very high notes. "Not Late for Love" was the next song I heard, which started out like a beautiful UFO song and screamed and ripped its way into Ransom style. This band seems to borrow the very best from The Scorpions and UFO, incorporating these influences into their own style. For me, this is a very high compliment. I mean it. These guys rip! The songs I heard were recorded off the New Creation radio show, courtesy Bob Felberg. I'm sure this band receives as much, if not more, requests as Stryper, or anybody. I sure would blitz my local radio station with calls if they had Ransom in stock. This demo, which was played on the air, should get this band a contract. I feel tempted to take out a loan for $100,000 and start my own label, so I can sign these guys. But, I must put my flesh under subjection, plus I couldn't get the loan. These songs are the best I've heard off a demo since Trytan.
