Bolstered by solid songwriting, natural talent and a cool CD packaging concept, Rocketboy blasts off with this, their first project with a new name. A more aggressive alternative sound, which I personally favor, bordering at times on pop, produces edgy, pleasing guitars which demand attention most notably on "Shades of Gray", "Fly", and "Call Me Kind". Other songs such as "Siren Song", "Richard" and "I Should.." contrast in tempo and emotional feel but mesh making this a complete effort and well produced by Armand Petri (GooGoo Dolls, 6 Pence, 10,000 Maniacs). Trey covers lots of territory vocally while remaining clear and understandable. Many songs are abstractly spiritual and personal but can be interpreted to relate to ones own situation.
