Ruscha is a good band. The songs on this tape are lacking punch, though. Certain parts of the songs try to build, but when they get there they just whither. This is the fault of the producer, but the overall production is very clean.
"Come Alive", "Broken Heart", and "Come Home" give Ruscha true justice. The other tunes were too watered-down with synthesizers.
The music and format of "Burning Bridges" is very similar to "Suzanne" from Journey's Raised On Radio album. Vocalist Andy Denton has a good voice.
Overall, it's a good album, but the producer, in my opinion, kept it from being a great one. The guitar solos are held back and buried. Remember, though, that a review (concert, album, movie) is nothing but one person's opinion. That's why I don't believe in them.
