Here's a tape that, for underground eclectic rock collectors, will be alive and tickling. It's fun-rock in the Da mold (Doppelganger era).
The mediocre-quality production distracts away from the tons 'o' fun present in the song structures and lyrics.
There's a few tasty leads here, but, other than that, this has nothing metal or heavy to offer. This is for fans of "alternative" and "college radio" music fans. Larry Norman comparisons are not too far off, as Spike spews forth social commentary on nuclear warfare, cocaine, abortion, and new wave music.
This cassette, like well-worn leather, is an authentic piece of Spike's heart.
