Hot album. The intro has a melodic sound and real feeling, something I didn't expect from Valor and something I don't find in a lot of heavy bands. Most of the songs crunch in a major way, yet the vocals are melodic.
Valor has coined the term "Quick Metal", which accurately describes their music. Mix Saint and Deliverance and you get an idea of where they're coming from.
The beginning of "Burn" features a great dialogue between God and a sinner on Judgement Day. The sinner says to himself, "I can't believe this is happening," before it becomes too real for him to handle. Very effective drama.
The production is good. Nice, crisp sound with pro fidelity. Moshers and maniacal headbangers should dig this. It's definitely worth checking out.
