Sick of Change (SOC) hails from the ever popular Southern California area with a message for the new school punks of the world. They deliver that message with a strong and clear yell on this CD. Beginning with a dramatic reading of 2 Timothy 3:1-5, this album doesn't fail to hold up God's Word. "Constant Struggle" seems to imitate the feelings of many people these days, "Evil world, let me be. Lord, take me to eternity. This world has no value to me. I don't want to be bound to a life of captivity." This small sampling of the emotions held by these 4 guys, who "don't want to be another silent punk band," (Rich Tremblay, drummer) are mirrored throughout this disc. With titles like "Weakness," "Senseless Guilt," and "Torn in Two," one would hardly think that the songs are going to be about not being able to get a date or having something funky happen to your favorite shoes. No, these guys are into their music for the long haul. Hopefully.

Kevin Scott's vocals vary from the typical punk sound to a thrashing 'core scream, that is occasionally backed up harmoniously by Andrew Tremblay. Listening to Andrew play on this album shows his wide library of influences. He seems to pull from a conglomeration of several different styles: punk, rockabilly, and the occasional hardcore / thrash. Melding these three styles together makes for an interesting sound. The drums and bass on In Our Time Of Need keep everything together, they're tight, they have to be. The pace on this album is fast. Good job, guys!

This is some of the tightest music (notice I say "music" not "punk rock") I've ever heard. Just when you think they're going to break the sound barrier, they will stop on a dime and break into something completely different. Yes, it's standard, but I…
