
I guess the term hardcore fits here. It reminds me a bit of Entombed occasionally but without the fury or creativity. Myk Porter adequately uses his throat to deliver a message powerfully. In "Angry Son" he seeks deliverance from the anger brought on from many years of being stomped into the ground face down. People wonder how Christians can mix with hardcore. S.F.D. calls for people to get real & honest with themselves. Like in "Front" --"Bad boy standin' with clenched fists, can't tell me you're complete, that being tough is enough, cuz we see right through your front & we're calling your bluff". And in "Condemnation" --"finger points, judgments fly, words, like venom, spill from ignorance...God holds the gavel and only He knows us". Good messages, delivered well here. The down side is that, as with most hard core, it gets a little monotonous. There's more rhythms than melody.
