Weeping Prophet is different. The first thing I noticed is the odd & frequently changing rhythms. The second is the guitars usually seem to be just rhythm while the bass thumped around all over. Mostly just during the 1st song "Circle of Blood" though. "Revelation" is just that, the book o' Revelation, in a nutshell, backed by almost a fusion tone. Until I opened this decently packaged & produced 6 song tape, I had no idea this was a metal band of sorts. Yet, more like the latest Deliverance albums have been. Then at times heavier. Half the time the vocals are like ex-Tourniquet Guy Ritter. Lyrics are thoughtful. Example: "Warm streams of love can't cross the frozen line/Reminiscent shadows of the one you've left behind" ("Laughter"). Overall a rather professional tape, however, thinking back I only remember monotonous vocals & less than memorable music--maybe it was overly technical. Not too bad though.
