Do you have Radiowaves & Gibberish? If so, you've probably heard Sleeping by the Riverside. Well let me tell you, that song is nothing like this 7". I was really impressed by it even though I never really liked what I heard from them on the Radiowaves & Gibberish compilation. I totally love the South Florida hardcore sound of bands like Strongarm with the nice rhythmic guitars. Much to my liking, Sleeping by the Riverside pumps out four songs of classic South Florida style. Every one of these songs is catchy. The drums are great, the vocals are far better than the vocals on the Radiowaves & Gibberish compilation and the production is tight for a 7". Despite all that, the guitars are still what get me, it's such a good record. I could tell after listening to them in concert that this 7" was one I would enjoy. If that wasn't enough, there are powerful Christian messages packed in these songs. If this 7" is any indication of the direction and quality that Takehold Records is going to produce, you had better believe Takehold Records is going to get a lot of people's attention. Don't miss out on this record.
