The first thing Sunshine needs to do to get noticed is change their name. It's boring and forgettable. The press sheet tries to pass it off as "irony," however the music isn't dark enough to really be ironic. Next they need to sign to a label who will promote the heck out of them. If they do both of those things, the band (formerly known as) Sunshine will be huge because they already have this music thing down pat.
Take some danceable and hyper techno-rock and throw in one part U2 and three parts Jane's Addiction, with just a dab of cLOUDDEAD's pop sensibility and you've got a good idea what Sunshine's Moonshower and Razorblades sounds like. But unlike other bands who are simple clones of U2 or Jane's Addiction (and quite forgettable), Sunshine does their music with amazing energy and skill.
Just about every track is solid. While there is a slight tendency for tracks to start to run together, none of it gets boring. I definitely recommend this cd to people who like big, stadium rock. While the album would probably appeal more to Jane's Addiction fans than those of U2, any fan of edgy alternative rock should check this out.
