A talent this big!! That is how TAKER could be introduced, because these 4 guys really are very good musicians. Musically, TAKER is hard to compare to other bands, because their sound is unique. Of course influences come through: the complexity of Maiden, the heavy of SAINT, and vocals that have little to envy Dio... The melodies are excellent; but careful, TAKER is not a pop metal band... Nor speed, nor power... No, TAKER is quite simply an excellent heavy metal band. The 5 tracks on this demo are each better than the last. "Open Your Heart" demonstrates the capacities of the vocalist Kevin Potter. The guitarist excels in originality and feeling, something unfortunately lacking in the white metal "fretboard-men"... The bass/drums duel is very beefy ("Look Into His Eyes"). "He is The Light" has a very cool intro, on acoustic, and ends very majestically, on a breathtaking howl from the vocalist... In short, you have got it: TAKER is one of the best WM bands today. To be discovered as soon as possible!
