Like I've said before, I'm not a big fan of ska, but I liked some of the earlier stuff I've heard from The Hippos. They used to be on Fueled By Ramen Records, the label run by a couple of the guys from Less Than Jake. This new album on Interscope is much more polished and commercial radio friendly. I gotta say I was a little disappointed by this one. Some of the songs are catchy, including their two covers of classic tunes, but it just gets old too fast.
