The undecided are a punk rock outfit from Canada. Signed to Tooth and Nail Records in 1999. More To See is their second studio release. Punk. Lots of punk. Everywhere you go, listen, read punk is there. Often criticized for being unskilled, homogeneous, and loud more than good it has still managed to have a nice little renaissance these last few years. Can the undecided make their mark?
Well, to an extent they already have. Their music has appeared on MTV's Road Rules vs. the (not-so, imo) real world and FOX SportsNet. They have garnered a bit of a buzz in the punk music scene. The kids seem to like it, other critics have given it their stamp of approval, and overall nothing but good things have been said about the undecided. Why didn't I like it then? I asked myself that as I listened to it each time. I still have not really figured it out. The lyrics are decent. The music is decent. There is uniqueness to their sound not often found in punk music. The vocals are fair. The production is good. I can't say anything bad about the album, except of course that I just didn't really like it.
There are some really good songs. The song structuring was good. They average 3:30, huge for punk. One of the obligatory hardcore songs, "Songs of Counter Culture," rocks. One of the best songs, "Time for Change," is about keeping with a Christian lifestyle and getting up when you fall down.

Overall, this is a good disc. If you are a punk fan or even if you are not, take a listen to this album. Give it a fair crack and here's hoping you like it!
