I actually saw this record in the used bin at one of my favorite record stores. It was a promo copy so I gave it a listen and I fell in love instantly. I can't begin to explain this band except to use the word BRILLIANT! I usually don't review albums outside the hardcore/punk genre but I just had to do this one. This is by far my favorite album of the year. YOU HAVE TO GET THIS ALBUM! This band combines so many genres. From the doo-wop style on "Ambulance" to the 70's sounding disco/rock style on "Bomb Yourself" to the jazz influenced song "The Wrong Way". This band is overflowing with talent and originality. Art-rock at its best. You'll move to the dance beat and reflect on life with deep lyrics and find yourself helplessly singing along. There is such a wide spectrum of emotions covered in this album but it stays focused on originality. I have to see these guys live. This NYC trio is the next big band. For Radiohead to the Pixies to Pedro the Lion to Starflyer 59. Amazing album. Do yourself a favor this year and get this record.
