I am torn between one thing I hate and one thing I love. I hate compilation albums. There are very few that I actually like. I hate them almost as much as I hate tribute albums. I love Jade Tree Records though. They are by far one of my favorite labels, and one of the best at what they do. Their mail order is amazing and they put out some of the best bands around today. They don't buy into current trends and sign what will bring the trendy kids around. They just put out good music and from all different genres. My cd and vinyl collection is filled with Jade Tree releases. I first fell in love with them after I got my first Jade Tree release, Lifetime "Hello ********". After that I was hooked.
This comp is filled with goodies and can be loved by fans from basically all rock genres. There is hardcore and punk with Paint it Black, Kid Dynamite, Strike Anywhere, Fury, and From Ashes Rise. There is more acoustic rock with Onelinedrawing and Pedro the Lion. There is more artistic and experimental rock with Denali, Cex and Milemarker. There is something for just about everyone and there are bonus tracks with unreleased and live versions of some great bands. If you aren't a fan of Jade Tree records, do yourself a favor and pick up this comp and its previous family member Location is Everything Vol. 1.
