Most of the songs on this disc are not released anywhere else. A few of these bands have released EPs, but only a few have full length albums out, so you get a good taste of upcoming bands. I like most of these bands, but I was most impressed with Proclamation, Through and Through, Chalice, and Failsafe, after hearing them for the first time.
Of the 21 tracks, a few (I promise, just a few) may not appeal to you if you are expecting 100% hardcore. Spitfire is a bit heavier, and would fit into the death-core category (but it's good). The two punk bands (Underage and Lo-Fi), are both ok to listen to, but I wouldn't spend any money on them. The only band that is distinctly emo is Brandtson, who I was disappointed with. About four of the other bands on this disc mix hardcore, emo, and other stuff. Those four tracks are way better than the Brandtson track, so there are only 3 tracks out of the 21 that I don't really care for. (Brandtson and the two punk bands.) Other than that, it's well worth 10 bucks, so if you're into good chaotic hardcore and looking for some new bands, Radiowaves & Gibberish is for you.
