Yes, this is the hip pop/rock band that was signed to Exit Records and hasn't been heard from in over four years. After two fine releases, Mannequin Virtue and Please Stand By, the band has lacked a good record deal. Hence, this independant release on GaGa Records offers starving fans a choice selection of music. Hardly near the metal category, these tunes seem to be a little heavier and darker than their previous material. Tunes like "I Burn Myself Away" feature a solid rhythm section and upfront guitars. Like many post-modern/alternative bands today, Vector rocks while laying down a good dance groove. The lyrics here offer resolution to the dark suffering communicated. This collection of tunes is one that is sure to please fans of early U2 and bands like The Cure. It's one of the better alternative releases of the year, because of the fine chops and songwriting of guitarist Jim Abegg and bassist/vocalist Steve Griffith.
