Divine Right
Tongues of Fire

Divine Right is another one of the killer demos I picked up at Cornerstone. This 7-song tape was a one-man project by Kevin Brandow. It's hard to believe that one man made all of this big sound. He did a great job, delivering a fine serving of melodic/commercial metal. The strong point here is his songwriting. Each composition has a good melody and a definite direction. I'll rate it as a couple notches below excellent. The production is good enough to show the potential of Divine Right, but the performance and the songs are so good, you're left wishing a $50,000 budget would remix it and lay it down on vinyl. Kevin knows what he's doing in the studio and this tape proves it. A major label could pick Divine Right up and go places. The lyrics are straightforward about Jesus, Who He is and what He has done and is doing for us. There's not a dud song on the tape, so why hesitate? Send $5 plus $1 shipping to Divine Right Sound Studio, PO Box 655, Rensselear NY 12144. You'll definitely be hearing more from this band.
